'Thordis the Soothsayer'
Based on a Skagastrond legend, this poem and image sequence in book form alludes to the sea and the land around Skagastrond, and a local myth. Each page feels, and opens differently. Some pages are entirely of silk, some of ‘laminated’ silk and long-fibred Abaca paper tissue. Other pages have shapes and pattern embedded between the layers of tissue. The digital images are interleaved with pages where lines from the poem are fragmented and repeated, drifting over the surface of the page.
