Pat Hodson's unique pieces are a fusion of collage and digital print. The digital image is printed on to experimental surfaces in which fabric is layered with long fibred paper tissue. On screen, the image has been allowed to evolve through a complex layering of a wide range of source material. This complexity is increased further by the layers of tactile material on which the image is printed. Display: These unique pieces are designed to be hung without glass. and are waxed, which will help protect against light and humidity. Inks : Epson Ultrachrome Pigmented inks which have a long life expectancy. This is further enhanced if they are placed behind glass or UV coated acrylic sheet. Some of the original digital images have been printed on to surfaces such as stiffened silk and proprietory surfaces such as Enhanced Matt paper and Canvas cloth and made in to small numbered editions. Prints should never be displayed in a position where direct sunlight falls upon them.
